The Butcher Wants a Wife

The Gold Coast Mail is helping local butcher Phillip Smith in his quest for love in 2010.

Women aged between 20 and 35 are invited to apply to the Gold Coast Mail’s Butcher Wants a Wife from today.

Applications will be open for four weeks until Saturday, February 20.

Phillip and his mum will then sift through the entries to pick the finalists.

Online voting, starting March 4, will determine finalists who will then each go on a date with Phillip at Currumbin RSL’s Alleys Restaurant.

The date will include a three-course meal, wine and flowers or heart chocolates.

The overall winner will receive a weekend away with Phillip, provided by Tweed Cruise and Travel in conjunction with Couran Cove Island Resort.

The weekend includes one night’s accommodation, ferry transfer, breakfast for two, a two-course dinner and a bottle of Australian sparkling wine.

She will also win a free facial, by Face Magic in Coolangatta, and a hairstyling and makeup package by B Styled Hair Studio in Tugun.
