TWO weeks into her “dream job” and Nicquel Rhoden has already been rock jumping, capsized in water rapids and swam with dolphins.

Blogging her way around New Zealand as part of the Entirely Kiwi tourism program, the 20 year-old Palm Beach local beat 300 applicants to score a three-month all-expenses-paid trip around the country, promoting the nation “through any means possible”.

“It has been pretty hectic so far,” she said.

“I barely have a minute to sit down and chill out ...  but who can complain!”

Ms Rhoden, who recently completed a Bachelor of Hotel and Tourism Management at the University of Queensland, said it’s not every day a University graduate walks straight into their dream job.

“The most exciting thing that has happen so far is definitely the rafting we did in Rakaia Gorge,” she said.

“We capsized in the rough rapids as we were heading for the rock cliff face. No-one got hurt, so it just caused a lot of laughter.”

Ms Rhoden is required to take photos and videos and use a laptop to update her blog with each new experience.

“I’m really looking forward to visiting White Island,” she said

“And skydiving comes in at a close second. As well as the Fox Glacier.”

Ms Rhoden said although she’s having a blast, its not all fun and games.

“I have a really tight schedule during the day that usually has me going until 6pm,” she said.

“I can’t come home and just relax, I have to write my blog, which takes me a good couple of hours.”

Entirely Kiwi director Vanessa Forsyth said Ms Rhoden was chosen for her ability to put herself out there and support New Zealand.

“We chose Nicquel for the position due to her experience in tourism and her natural bubbly vivacious personality,” Ms Forsyth said.

Ms Rhoden will in New Zealand until the end of May.
