Prime Minister Julia Gillard will feature in a 13-page spread in The Australian Women's Weekly.
PRIME Minister Julia Gillard says she's no "fashionista" but takes time to think about what she wears.
The Labor leader will feature in a 13-page spread in The Australian Women's Weekly to be published on Wednesday.
Ms Gillard, who is campaigning in Brisbane on Tuesday, told ABC radio most people took time to think about what they wore to work.
"Of course I think about what I wear. I don't think there are too many people who don't," she said.
"There are some fabrics you can wear and patterns you can't on television ... but I don't get obsessed by it."
Ms Gillard said she felt "OK" about doing the photo shoot for the magazine.
"I'm not a big time fashionista in that sense," she said.
"I see myself as someone who works and I wear the clothes that are appropriate to the work I do."
Asked whether voters would make a choice in the federal election based on gender, Ms Gillard said: "I think Australians will make judgments on who to vote for on the 21st of August on the things that matter."
"I think every Australian is concerned to make sure we've got a strong economy, a budget in surplus, prices they pay at supermarket shelves ... pressures on working families."
